These 2018-W 1 oz Proof Palladium American Eagle Coins are available to purchase today with a near-perfect grade from the NGC. Coins with a PF69 certification exhibit full, original mint luster with a maximum of two minor detracting flaws. Examples of acceptable flaws at this certification level include minuscule contact marks or hairlines found only outside of the primary focal areas of the coin.

With each of these Proof Palladium Eagle coins, you’ll find an ultra-cameo UCAM label included in the protective plastic slab. The NGC issues this label to proof coins with strong, frosted visuals on the design elements and deeply-mirrored, clear background fields that offer impressive contrast between the two areas of the coin.

On the obverse of Proof Palladium American Eagle Coins is the design of Winged Liberty from Adolph A. Weinman. Created in 1916 for use on the US dime, the Winged Liberty design features Lady Liberty in left-profile relief wearing a winged Phrygian cap. The design reminded Americans of the Roman messenger god Mercury that resulted in the common reference to the coin as the Mercury Dime.

The reverse side of 2018-W 1 oz Proof Palladium American Eagle Coins includes the design of an American bald eagle clutching the roots of a tree on the edge of a cliff. This design was also created by Adolph A. Weinman, but was completed in 1907 for the American Institute of Architects’ gold medal.

Palladium American Eagle coins debuted in 2017 with a bullion version and had a limited mintage of only 15,000 coins. The Proof Palladium Eagle made its debut in 2018 and had the same limited mintage of 15,000 coins in total.
