Gold American Eagle coins from the United States Mint are available annually to investors who buy gold. The official gold bullion coin of the United States of America, the Gold American Eagle series features one of the nation’s most iconic coin designs on the obverse and a unique design for the reverse. The 2019 1/4 oz Gold American Eagle Coin is currently available to you for purchase online at Silver.com.

Coin Highlights:

  • Ships to you inside of individual protective packaging or mint tubes of 40 coins!
  • 34th release year for the Gold American Eagle coin!
  • Consists of One-Quarter Troy ounce of actual gold content in BU condition.
  • Issued a face value of $10 (USD) by the United States.
  • Lady Liberty graces the coin’s obverse.
  • American bald eagles dominate the coin’s reverse.

The Gold American Eagle Series debuted in 1986 and has long seen its mintage figures driven by the price of gold and demand for gold by investors. When the coins debuted in 1986 there was not much variety in the gold bullion coin market to satisfy the demand of buyers. Low prices also drove a particular niche of buyers to snatch up coins.

Throughout the 1990s though, the Gold American Eagle series saw sinking demand. In many of those years, it was the 1/4 oz Gold American Eagle that had the lowest mintage figures among the four available weights in the bullion range. As prices rose and fell, and demand followed suit, the 1/4 oz Gold Eagle did see jumps in its mintage. While it has experienced renewed demand in the mid-2010s, the 1/4 oz Gold American Eagle’s highest mintage year remains its 1986 debut with 726,031 coins.

On the obverse of 2019 1/4 oz Gold American Eagles is the image of Lady Liberty. This design was created in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens for the $20 Gold Double Eagle coin, the highest denomination gold coin in circulation at the time. The image of Liberty holding her torch and an olive branch as she walked featured on the $20 Gold Double Eagle until that program ended in 1933 with the US no longer following the gold standard as a backing for its currency.

The reverse side of 2019 Gold American Eagle Coins includes a family of American bald eagles. The male bird flies over the nest in this design as a female extends her wing to shelter a young hatchling in the nest. This design is exclusive to the Gold Eagle Series and was developed in 1986 by Miley Busiek.

These 2019 1/4 oz Gold American Eagle Coins are all in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and are offered to you inside of individual protective packaging or mint tubes of 40 coins.

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
