Each 2019 1/4 oz Silver Mexican Libertad Coin is available to you in the original Brilliant Uncirculated condition from the Mexican Mint. The fractional-weight coins in the series are all offered individually inside of protective plastic packaging. The 1/4 oz is often a popular choice among the four available fractional weights.

The four fractional Silver Libertads appeared first in 1991. In the 1992 release, the 1/4 oz Silver Libertad coin sold a total of 104,000 coins, which was the lowest of the four at that point in time. Over the decades though, the 1/4 oz has proven to regularly attract some of the highest numbers in the series. When silver prices rise, the 1/4 oz Silver Libertad becomes attractive to a wider range of buyers as it costs less than its 1 oz and other larger counterparts.

On the obverse side of 2019 1/4 oz Silver Mexican Libertad Coins is the design of Winged Victory. She is depicted in the foreground just as she is found at the top of the Mexican Independence Victory Column in Mexico City. In the background of the design field are the twin volcanic peaks of Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl. The mountain peaks are active volcanoes and were named for a pair of Ancient Aztec lovers.

The reverse of all 1/4 oz Silver Mexican Libertad Coins includes the design of Mexico’s coat of arms. Reflective of its struggle to gain independence from Spain, the seal features an eagle on the arm of a cactus as it battles against a serpent. The eagle represents the Mexican people and the snake the strangling oppression of Spain.

Founded in 1535 by Spanish conquistadors, the Mexican Mint is the oldest operating facility in the Western Hemisphere. Though it once struck colonial coinage for Spanish assets through the region, today it is the official sovereign mint of Mexico’s federal government.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash.
