On the obverse of 2019 Silver American Eagle Coins, you’ll find the image of Walking Liberty. This design was created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman during a time of coin redesigns at the US Mint. Walking Liberty appeared on the US half dollar from 1916 to 1947 and depicts her figure walking toward the sun on the horizon.
The reverse of 2019 1 oz Silver American Eagles features the heraldic eagle of the United States. Refined for this release by John Mercanti, the heraldic eagle depicts an American bald eagle behind the national shield. The eagle clutches the arrows of war in one talon and the olive branch of peace in the other. Above its head is a cluster of 13 stars in a triangle that represent the original American Colonies.
