If you buy silver from KOMSCO, the South Korean Tiger Medal series has exciting new options that launched in 2018. Originally available only in gold bullion, the series debuted bullion and proof options in 2018, with 2019 boasting a second proof release that offers enhanced latent security features in the design background. Now, the 2019 1 oz Proof Silver Latent South Korean Tiger Medal is available to you for purchase online at Silver.com.

Medal Highlights:

  • Available to ship to you inside of a presentation display with a Certificate of Authenticity included!
  • Second annual Proof Silver South Korean Tiger release and first-ever latent security design!
  • Mintage limited to 1,000 medals only!
  • Consists of One Troy ounce of .999 fine silver.
  • The obverse side of the medal includes the tiger design for 2019 with the beast tearing through the design field.
  • On the reverse is the Korean peninsula in a stylized design.
  • New latent security feature in the background of the obverse and reverse.

When the South Korean Tiger Medal series debuted it was primarily available in 1 oz gold and 1/10 oz gold bullion. Like other collections from KOMSCO, the design on the medals has changed with time to capture the powerful tiger in different imagery. The series has now grown to feature both gold and silver options.

The South Korean tiger is the colloquial name on the Korean peninsula for the Siberian tiger species. Though it is now limited to its original Siberian range in Russia and the northeast of China, the Siberian tiger once roamed as far south as the very southern tip of the Korean peninsula. The last wild Korean tiger is believed to have been killed in 1921 or 1922.

The obverse face of 2019 1 oz Proof Silver Latent South Korean Tiger Medals includes a tiger using its massive claws to rip through the design element. In the background behind the tiger and in the tear marks, you will notice the latent security lines included in the design element of the medal.

On the reverse side of 2019 1 oz Proof Silver Latent South Korean Tiger Medals is a depiction of the Korean peninsula. In this design, the peninsula is formed through the use of the letters from the Hangul, the Korean language alphabet. The background field on this side of the coin also boasts the latent security lines, as well as the latent security mark KOMSCO uses on all of its bullion products.

These 2019 1 oz Proof Silver Latent South Korean Tiger Medals include a protective capsule for the medal and a black presentation display to house your product. Each one comes with its own Certificate of Authenticity from KOMSCO.

We also never have access to your credit/debit card details, as they are securely communicated directly to the payment processor (Authorize.net) and never retained by Silver.com. For this reason, we also don't process credit/debit card orders over the phone, as it is the least secure way to process those transactions.

Do you charge sales tax?

We are required to collect sales tax in certain states. You can review your states sales tax policy here: https://www.silver.com/taxes. You should always consult with a tax adviser for specific advice in your area.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
