The Zi:Sin Series of silver medals from KOMSCO is the Republic of Korea’s answer to the variety of Chinese lunar calendar-themed silver and gold coins. The Zi:Sin Series mirrors the characters of the Zodiac, but features mythical guardians who serve in the armies of god as his leading warriors when the forces of good square off against evil.

All 2019 1 oz Silver South Korean Zi:Sin Scrofa Medals are offered by KOMSCO in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The silver medals available in this collection are shipped either inside of individual protective packaging or mint tubes of 25 medals. The Zi:Sin Series, like other lunar-themed collections, offers one new coin design per year.

The 12 Guardians are, in Korean cultural lore, said to serve in the armies of god as his leading generals and warriors. Each of the guardians brings their own unique skills to bear in the battle against evil and is assigned to watch over the mortal world for the arrival of evil from various directions.

On the reverse of 2019 1 oz Silver South Korean Zi:Sin Scrofa Medals is the depiction of Scrofa, who is also known as Justice Haechi. She is assigned by God to protect the sacred Salt Lake and is depicted in this design standing along its shores with full military dress and her battle sword ready to meet the forces of evil. One of her primary powers is the ability to use her five senses to detect evil forces over great distances.

The obverse of 2019 Silver South Korean Scrofa Medals includes the common design of Chiwoo Cheonwang’s battle shield. On the face of his shield is a depiction of Do ggae bi, a hobgoblin-like creature who grotesque appearance is said to be able to ward off evil.
