The Lunar Series II collection debuted in 2008 with the Year of the Rat design and now comes to its end in 2019 with the Year of the Pig. On the obverse face of 2019 Silver Australian Pig Coins is the image of Queen Elizabeth II. The Queen’s effigy features on Australian coins in a fourth-generation design created in 1998 by Ian Rank-Broadley. This side includes inscriptions of Her Majesty’s name, the year of issue, nation of issue, face value, weight, purity, and metal content of the coin.
The reverse side of 2019 2 oz Silver Australian Pig Coins features the design of a family of pigs. Similar to other silver bullion coins in the Lunar Series II collection recently, silver coins have a family of animals depicted. This one includes an adult pig in the background with four small piglets in the foreground.
