When buying silver from the Royal Mint of England, there are many options for investors and collectors. The Silver Britannia is a popular annual release, but the recent Queen’s Beast Series has captured hearts with its beautiful designs and intricate attention to detail. The 2019 2 oz Silver British Queen’s Beast Yale of Beaufort Coin is now available to you for purchase online at Silver.com with NGC certification.

Coin Highlights:

  • Coins ship to you inside of protective plastic slabs courtesy of the NGC!
  • Seventh coin design to feature in the Queen’s Beast Series!
  • Availability of certified coins is limited!
  • Consists of Two Troy ounces of .9999 fine silver.
  • Issued a face value of 5 (GBP) by Britain.
  • Bears a Grade of Mint State 69 from the Numismatic Guaranty Corporation.
  • On the obverse side is an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.
  • The reverse depicts the Yale of Beaufort of Lady Margaret Beaufort.

The Queen’s Beast Series launched in 2016 with just one silver bullion coin for investors to purchase, but it was a remarkable issue nonetheless. The 2 oz silver bullion coin in this collection marks the first-ever bullion coin of its weight from the Royal Mint of England. The series now features a 10 oz silver option as well, along with four different weights in proof.

Seventh in the series is the Yale of Beaufort. The Yale is a mythical beast and was featured in the shield of Lady Margaret Beaufort. The only heiress of John Beaufort, Duke of Somerset, Lady Margaret was his only surviving child upon his death and bore a son who went on to reign as King Henry VII beginning in 1485.

The reverse of 2019 2 oz Silver British Queen’s Beast Yale of Beaufort Coins includes the image of Yale as it supports Lady Margaret’s shield. The Yale is often featured with the body of a goat or antelope, and always has horns on its head with boar tusks on its snout. The shield featured here has a crown above a portcullis, an image taken from the badge of King Henry VII.

On the obverse of all 2019 2 oz Silver British Queen’s Beast Coins is the latest effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is shown in this fifth-generation right-profile portrait wearing the Royal Diadem crown. The background field has the now common guilloche design used on British coins.

These 2019 2 oz Silver British Queen’s Beast Yale of Beaufort Coins feature near-perfect certifications from the NGC. Mint State 69 coins have full, original mint luster with a maximum of two minor detracting flaws. Acceptable flaws at this level include only minuscule contact marks and hairlines.
