The image featured here was designed in 1986 by Miley Busiek exclusively for the Gold American Eagle. It depicts the American bald eagle around its family nest. In this design, a male eagle flies over the nest with a female eagle and male eagle in the nest below.
Gold American Eagles are all struck by the United States Mint. The US Mint does not issue mint marks on its bullion coins, but 2020 Gold American Eagles are struck by the US Mint at its West Point Mint facility.
