Gold American Eagles have 22-karat gold content. When introduced in 1986, the Gold Eagle was the first gold coin the US had struck in 53 years and the purest it had issued in 152 years. Each Gold Eagle has 91.67% gold content by weight with an alloy of 5.33% copper and 3% silver making up the rest of the metal content.
All 2020 1/10 oz Gold American Eagles in this product listing earned near-perfect certifications. These Mint State 69 certifications indicate the coins have full, original mint luster and no more than two minor detracting flaws. Examples of these detracting flaws include minuscule contact marks or hairlines found outside the primary focal points of the coin.
Included with your purchase is a First Strike label. This designation applies to coins received by the PCGS for grading within the first 30 days of the US Mint’s release of the 2020 Gold American Eagles.
The obverse face of 2020 1/10 oz Gold American Eagles comes with the design of Lady Liberty. The image of Liberty featured here is a front-facing relief in which she is depicted with a torch in her right hand and the olive branch of peace in her other hand.
On the reverse side, 2020 1/10 oz Gold Eagles bear the image of American bald eagles. This design was created in 1986 by Miley Busiek and depicts a male eagle flying over the nest as a female and a hatchling rest within the nest.
