Australian Kookaburra coins are the ones that started a trend at the Perth Mint. First issued in 1990, the Australian Kookaburra set the course for Australian coins using fresh designs of native fauna on the reverse each year. It was such a popular concept, the Gold Australian Nugget was renamed the same year as the Gold Australian Kangaroo and used the same approach. 2020 marks the 30th anniversary of this impressive series. Right now, you can buy the first-ever 2020 1/10 oz Gold Australian Kookaburra online at Silver.com.

Coin Highlights:

  • Ships to you inside of protective plastic capsules!
  • First-ever release of 1/10 oz Gold Australian Kookaburras!
  • Mintage limited to 15,000 coins only!
  • Consists of One-Tenth Troy ounce of .9999 fine gold in BU condition.
  • Bears a face value of $15 (AUD) backed by the federal government of Australia.
  • The obverse of the coin includes Queen Elizabeth II.
  • On the reverse of the coin is the depiction of a kookaburra from the 1990 coins.

Each 2020 1/10 oz Gold Australian Kookaburra available to you in this listing comes with a limited mintage of 15,000 in total and ships with an individual protective plastic capsule. The coins are all in Brilliant Uncirculated condition.

The 2020 Gold Australian Kookaburras feature a dual date mark to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the coins. All of the issues in the series have “1990” and “2020” marked on the reverse. Larger weights in the series also have two images of the kookaburra. The reverse of those larger coins includes the new 2020 kookaburra design, while also featuring the 1990 design from Stuart Devlin on the obverse along with the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II.

On the reverse of these 2020 1/10 oz Gold Australian Kookaburras is the 1990 design from Stuart Devlin. This is the only image of the kookaburra on these coins because of the smaller design field available. The original design in the series depicts a single kookaburra sitting on the trunk of a chopped-down tree as foliage frames its figure.

The obverse side of 2020 Gold Australian Kookaburras comes with the sixth-generation effigy of Queen Elizabeth II on Australian coins. The first since 1966 to include the Queen’s neckline and shoulders in the design, this right-profile portrait features the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem crown. Worn only during the State Opening of Parliament, this crown has an astonishing 1,333 diamonds within its design.

We also never have access to your credit/debit card details, as they are securely communicated directly to the payment processor (Authorize.net) and never retained by Silver.com. Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
