Each of the new 2020 1/10 oz Gold South Korean Chiwoo Cheonwang Medals available to you in this Silver.com listing comes in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. These gold medals are packaged inside of sealed assay card packs that feature a capsule for the gold medal. The surrounding white assay has a hologram with the image of Do ggae bi and authentication details. Those details include the weight, metal content, purity, and serial number of the medal.

KOMSCO packages its 1/10 oz gold medals in the South Korean Chiwoo Cheonwang release in special packs. These assay cards come with four different color options: white, black, red, and blue. The mintage of 5,000 medals is evenly split across these four colors, with just 250 medals in these white assay cards.

The obverse face of 2020 1/10 oz Gold South Korean Chiwoo Cheonwang Medals features a new, smiling image of Do ggae bi. Still depicted on the battle shield of Chiwoo Cheonwang, Do ggae bi is shown in this design with more prominent nostrils, eyebrows, and teeth. There are also now bull’s horns on the head of Do ggae bi that are also very prominent in the design.

This new Do ggae bi design marks the first time since the 2016 debut of the series that the hobgoblin creature’s image has been altered. The design found here is inspired by artwork owned by the Gyeongju National Museum of the Republic of Korea.

On the reverse side of the 2020 1/10 oz Gold South Korean Chiwoo Cheonwang Medal is a depiction of Chiwoo Cheonwang confronting the Hell Gate. The gate is the crossing point between the mortal and immortal worlds near the Salt Lake, and it has emerged within Chiwoo’s empire. He must now summon the 12 Guardians and once again lead his forces into battle.
