The original Simpsons Series of colorized 1 oz silver coins from the Perth Mint in 2019 proved very popular as the mint celebrated 30 years of The Simpsons on television sets around the world. After debuting on The Tracey Ullman Show, the Simpson family eventually got a 30-minute animated series on Fox in 1989 and can now be watched in more than 60 countries around the world in 20 different languages.

Homer Simpson is the leader of the dysfunctional family. Despite the fact that he isn’t the smartest man in Springfield, Homer somehow landed a job as a plant safety employee at the local nuclear power plant. He may not know what he’s doing, but the plant has never suffered a catastrophe as a result.

The obverse of all 2020 1/2 oz Colorized Silver Homer Simpson Coins bears an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. This depiction of Her Majesty is the fourth-generation British design created in 1998 by Ian Rank-Broadley for the Royal Mint of England. The design is the fifth to feature on Australian and Commonwealth coins in the South Pacific. It depicts the Queen in right-profile relief with the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara, her favorite, on her head.

On the reverse of 2020 1/2 oz Colorized Silver Homer Simpson Coins, you will find a colorized depiction of Homer wearing blue pants, a white shirt, and a tie as he stands with his hands in his pockets outside of his job at the nuclear power plant.

These 2020 1/2 oz Colorized Silver Homer Simpson Coins come with a protective black presentation card that includes a viewing window to hold the coin. These coins are bound to sell out quickly as the Perth Mint’s 1 oz character series from The Simpsons already sold out its Homer design.
