The 1/2 oz Gold Maple Leafs weren’t introduced until 1986.

Gold Canadian Maple Leafs issued as of 2014 have new security features to combat counterfeiting of bullion coins. The first measure introduced was the inclusion of radial lines in the background to refract light in unique ways. This is applied to both the obverse and reverse fields. The reverse side has an additional security measure in the form of a micro-engraved maple leaf privy mark with the date mark in the center listed as “20.”
On the reverse side of 2020 1/2 oz Gold Canadian Maple Leafs is the image of the sugar maple leaf. The official emblem of Canada, the maple leaf appears on the national flag, governmental agency emblems, and the badges of multiple branches of the Canadian Armed Forces. It also features on all four metallic versions of the Canadian Maple Leafs.
The obverse of 2020 Gold Canadian Maple Leafs features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II at the age of 79. Designed in 2003 by Susanna Blunt, this depiction shows the Queen in right-profile relief and is the first since the reign of her father, King George VI, to show the monarch without a crown.
