The 1/20 oz Silver Libertad coin debuted in the bullion series in 1991 along with the 1/10 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/2 oz coins. One year later in 1992, the same four fractional weights were added to the proof version of the coins. Unlike other coin programs, many of the weights in the Silver Mexican Libertad Series have even demand each year. For example, most years the 1/20 oz coin has the exact same mintage as its fractional counterparts with other years boasting mintages just a few thousand coins more than the other weights.
