The EC8 Series debuted in 2018 with unique reverse designs for each of the eight member states in the ECCB. These states include Antigua & Barbuda, Dominica, Grenada, Montserrat, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, and Anguilla. The final state is the only associate member of the Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States that participates in the ECCB. The other seven nations were founders of the OECS.

Each nation is represented in a given year by four separate options. There are two 1 oz silver coins and two 1 oz gold coins in each release. There is a Brilliant Uncirculated option in both metals, as well as a colorized proof option in both metals. Each year, the nations get a new reverse design element to honor them in the series.

The obverse of 2020 1 oz Gold St. Vincent & the Grenadines Coins comes with a right-profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is shown here in the Ian Rank-Broadley design from 1998 that depicts the Queen wearing the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara. The portrait of the Queen is flanked by two fern leaves that cross at the bottom of the design field.

On the reverse face of the 2020 Gold St. Vincent & the Grenadines Coins is the coat of arms for the nation. The shield features a woman on the left standing with an olive branch extended out over another woman on the right who is kneeling. The kneeling woman holds out the scales of justice over a gold altar.
