Each 2020 1 oz Proof Silver Australian Lunar Mouse Coin in this product listing is brilliantly packaged. High-relief proofs from the Perth Mint ship inside of protective presentation clamshells and come with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity. As a high-relief proof, these coins offer enhanced visual brilliance.
These Proof Silver Australian Lunar Mouse High Relief Coins have frosted designs with mirrored background fields. The extra-thick blank these designs are struck onto enables greater visual appeal with a high-relief strike. The thicker coin blank allows for a deeper field on each side to strike the designs into, creating that enhanced 3D appearance.
On the obverse of 2020 1 oz Proof Silver Australian Lunar Mouse Coins is the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. This is the sixth-generation effigy of Her Majesty and was created by Jody Clark. The Queen has been on the throne since 1952 and her portrait has been updated at various times during her reign. This particular image first appeared on Australian coins in 2018 and rolled out to most coins in 2019, with the exception of Lunar Series II coins. This is the first use of the new sixth-generation designs in Lunar Series coins.
The reverse of 2020 Proof Silver Australian Lunar Mouse Coins comes with the new design from Ing Ing Jong. The design includes two mice climbing a corn stalk and dining on the kernels found within the corn husks. Included on this side of the coin is the Chinese symbol for the mouse and “Mouse 2020,” along with the “P” mint mark of the Perth Mint.
