The character known as Natalia Alianovna Romanova is the fictional individual behind the character Black Widow. Known more commonly as Natasha Romanoff, Black Widow was first a protagonist to Iron Man, but the Russian spy later defected to the United States. After doing so, she became an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and was also a part of the superhero team in the Avengers.

Black Widow, as a codename, has been used by as many as seven different background characters, but Natasha Romanoff has proven the most popular member. Claire Voyant was the first female superhero protagonist in comics and appeared in 1940 in Mystic Comics. Natasha Romanoff was the first character of this codename in Marvel Comics and debuted in 1964.

Fiji’s coat of arms is depicted in the obverse design of the 2020 1 oz Proof Silver Fiji Black Widow Coin. The image of the national seal includes a canoe with Outrigger attachment overhead the shield and native Fijians supporting the shield on either side. The shield itself is quartered by the Cross of St. George with a golden lion above clutching a cocoa pod in its paws. The quadrants have sugarcane, the coconut palm, a dove, and a banana bushel.

Black Widow is featured in a colorized design on the reverse face of 2020 Proof Silver Fiji Black Widow Coins. The design field showcases actress Scarlett Johansson in the role of Black Widow. Johansson has portrayed Black Widow in the Marvel Universe feature films since 2010 with the release of Iron Man 2.
