The United States Mint introduced the investment-grade version of the Silver American Eagle in 1986 with 1 oz silver available. This particular version of the coin has been issued in every year since that time. The Proof Silver Eagle debuted the same year, but was suspended in 2009 to focus on bullion production. The Burnished Silver Eagle debuted in 2006 and was halted in 2009 and 2010 to allow the mint to focus available blanks on bullion coining.

All 2020 1 oz Silver American Eagles in this listing earned Mint State 69 certifications. Considered near-perfect, these coins showcase full, original mint luster with no more than two minor detracting flaws. Examples of acceptable flaws at this level include minuscule contact marks or hairlines. These flaws must be outside the primary focal points of the coin.

Your purchase of 2020 Silver American Eagles in this listing also comes with an Early Release label. This means the NGC or an approved third-party depository must have received the coins for grading within the first 30 days of release by the United States Mint.

The obverse face of 2020 Silver American Eagles features Walking Liberty. This full portrait of Liberty in left-profile relief depicts her figure as she walks from right to left across the design field with one hand outstretched toward the sun on the horizon and the other clutching branches of oak and laurel.

On the reverse side of 2020 1 oz Silver American Eagles is a depiction of the heraldic shield of the United States. This design includes the American bald eagle with the national shield on its chest as it clutches the arrows of war and olive branch of peace in its talons.
