Silver Eagle coins from the United States Mint were introduced in 1986 with two versions available: bullion and proof. In 2006, a burnished version of the coin was introduced as well. In all three versions, you will also find that there are certified coins assessed by the NGC or PCGS. Right now, 2020 1 oz Silver American Eagle Coins are available to purchase online at Silver.com in perfect condition.

Each 2020 1 oz Silver American Eagle available in this listing earned a perfect certification from the PCGS. Coins with a Mint State 70 certification exhibit full, original mint luster with no detracting flaws of any kind present on the coin’s design elements or surface areas. Included with your purchase today is a First Strike label. This designation is reserved for coins that arrive within the first 30 days of the US Mint’s initial release of 2020 Silver Eagles.

Bullion Silver Eagles come with a shinier finish compared to the proof and burnished versions of the coin. Proof coins combine frosted designs and mirrored backgrounds for visual contrast, while the burnished coin has a polished, matte visual.

On the obverse field of 2020 1 oz Silver American Eagles is the design of Walking Liberty. This left-profile portrait of Lady Liberty was created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman. He is believed to have been inspired in this design by the French coin with the “sower.” The woman in the sower is also featured walking in left-profile relief with her right hand outstretched and her left clutching a bag of seeds. This is similar to Walking Liberty’s extended right hand and left hand holding branches of oak and laurel.

The reverse side of 2020 Silver Eagles bears the heraldic eagle of the United States. This national emblem includes the heraldic shield of the US on the chest of an American bald eagle. The bird clutches the arrows of war in one talon and the olive branch of peace in the other talon. Above its head is a triangular cluster of 13 stars.
