The designer of the images for the Lunar Series III collection is Ing Ing Jong. Ms. Jong joined the Perth Mint in 2011 as a coin designer and was tasked with the creation of the 2013 Year of the Snake design in the Lunar Series II collection. Since that time, she has created images for each lunar year in the Lunar Series II and Lunar Series III collections.

In the Lunar Series III collection, the Perth Mint follows tradition in using distinctive, separate designs for the silver and gold versions of the coin. For the first time in the program’s history, the Perth Mint offers a 1 oz platinum bullion coin as well. The platinum coin won’t have its own distinct design, but rather it shares a design with the gold bullion coin.

On the obverse of all 2020 Silver Australian Lunar Mouse Trio Box Set coins, you will find the image of Queen Elizabeth II. This right-profile portrait was created by Jody Clark and captures Her Majesty wearing the Royal Diadem crown, earrings, and the Victorian coronation necklace.

The reverse of each 2020 1 oz Silver Australian Lunar Mouse Trio Box Set coins includes Jong’s design for the 2020 Year of the Mouse. The silver coin design depicts two mice on a corn stalk as they dine on the kernels within.

These 2020 1 oz Silver Australian Lunar Mouse Trio Box Set Coins arrive with a Perth Mint classic display that includes a clear lid so you can always see your coins while on display. The set comes with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity and features three versions. The set houses a standard 1 oz silver proof, a colorized silver proof with brown mice on the reverse, and a gilded silver coin with 24-karat gold layering on the mice on the reverse.
