The Silver Australian Rectangular Dragon debuted early in 2018 with a total mintage of 500,000 coins. The original silver bullion coin had a very ornate design element with a single dragon arranged vertically up the design field of the bar in pursuit of a flaming pearl with stylized elements of wind and water in the background. The 2019 design was less complex and featured a dragon in a similar pose, but with the flaming pearl located in a different field of the coin and clouds in the background. The 2020 coin delivers its own stunning design based more on simplicity.
All of these 2020 1 oz Silver Australian Rectangular Dragons are available to purchase individually with a plastic flip. Multiples are available in tubes of 20 coins or Monster Boxes of 200 coins, with the box containing a total of 10 tubes of 20 coins each. All coins in this listing are available to you in Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
On the obverse side of 2020 Silver Australian Rectangular Dragons is the effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Debuting on Australian coins in 2019, this image was initially created by Jody Clark in July 2015 for the Royal Mint of England and debuted in British denominations beginning with the 2016 date mark. This bust of the Queen captures her at the age of 89 wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown. It is the first portrait of Elizabeth II on an Australian coin since 1966 to include her neckline and shoulders in the portrait.
The reverse face of 2020 1 oz Silver Australian Rectangular Dragons debuts the third design in the series. In this year’s image, two dragons circle the design field in pursuit of a flaming pearl at the center. There are no background elements, making for a clean design field that keeps your visual attention on the dragons.
