One of the primary characters in the films and the New Zealand Mint collections is Darth Vader. • On the reverse is a depiction of Darth Vader.

Darth Vader and the man he was before he was consumed by the dark side of the force, are a focal point of the first six films in the Star Wars franchise. These included the original trilogy of films introduced in the 1970s and 1980s, as well as the prequel trilogy in the late 1990s and early 2000s.

In the original films, we see a Darth Vader who has been twisted by the dark side of the force. Acting with no emotion and brutal, snap decisions, Darth Vader is the muscle behind the Galactic Empire. In the end, we learn that he is the father of Luke Skywalker, a young Jedi working to restore order to the universe and the force. The prequel trilogy takes viewers into the past to show them how a sweet child named Anakin was twisted by the force, lured by the dark side, and eventually turned into the mechanical monster that Darth Vader is in the original films.

The obverse side of the 2020 1 oz Silver Niue Star Wars Darth Vader Coins includes an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is shown here in right-profile relief in the fourth-generation design introduced by the Royal Mint of England in 1998.

On the reverse face of 2020 Silver Niue Star Wars Darth Vader Coins, you will find a depiction of the Sith figure. Vader is shown with his lightsaber in hand as the wind blows his cape out behind his figure.

These 2020 1 oz Silver Niue Star Wars Darth Vader Coins are available to you for purchase individually or in multiples. Single coins ship in protective plastic flips. Multiples of 25 are in mint tubes. Multiples of 250 are inside of Star Wars-themed boxes with 10 tubes of 25 coins each inside.
