The obverse of this coin includes an image of the Super Bowl LV logo along with an image of NFL commissioner Roger Goodell’s signature. According to the Highland Mint, the Super Bowl coin is the only official product allowed to contain an image of the Lombardi Trophy.
The reverse of the coin includes the logos of both teams. For Super Bowl LV, that’s the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Kansas City Chiefs. The reverse side also includes the words Limited Edition along with the unique number for each coin. Above all of this, the location of the game is included. Super Bowl LV was played in Raymond James Stadium, which is located in Tampa Bay. That’s the first time the game was in the home stadium of one of the teams playing. These coins were minted before the game in 2020, but the game was played in 2021.
