The Palladium Eagles debuted in 2017 with a Brilliant Uncirculated version of the coin. The mintage for the first release was just 15,000 coins and the US Mint announced a full sellout of the coins. In 2018, the US Mint offered the coin for a second time, but this time as a proof coin. The mintage was the same as the 2017 release with an announced sellout at the mint.

In 2019, the continued interest in the Palladium Eagle resulted in the US Mint issuing the coin as a Reverse Proof specimen. These coins had double the mintage of any previous release at 30,000 and the US Mint sold all of those to collectors and authorized dealers. Now, the 2020 coin brings a fourth version with the burnished option and the lowest mintage yet at just 10,000 palladium coins.

The obverse side of the 2020-W 1 oz Burnished Palladium American Eagles includes a bust of Lady Liberty. This particular design is a left-profile bust of Liberty wearing the Phrygian cap as designed in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman.

On the reverse face of 2020 Burnished Palladium American Eagle is a depiction of the bald eagle. This image of the American bald eagle was created by Weinman as well and shows the powerful bird with its wings raised as it sits on a cliff edge clutching a laurel sapling.

These 2020-W 1 oz Burnished Palladium American Eagles are in perfect condition. MS70 coins showcase full, original mint luster and have no detracting flaws of any kind present. There is also an Early Release label available with these coins that highlights the arrival of the coins for certification within 30 days of the US Mint’s original release.
