The United States Mint celebrated the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II in 2020 with the release of two special Proof American Eagles. The coins had limited original mintages and are now largely available only as certified options from the NGC or PCGS. Right now, 2020-W 1 oz V75 Privy Proof Gold American Eagles are available to purchase online at Silver.com in perfect condition.

Each 2020-W 1 oz V75 Privy Proof Gold American Eagle listed here at Silver.com is in perfect condition. A PF70 coin exhibits full, original mint luster and comes with no detracting flaws of any kind. Included within the slab are labels identifying the coins as both Ultra-cameo and Early Release specimens.

The UCAM label points to the presence of both strong, frosted design elements and deeply-mirrored, clear background fields. The ER label means the coins are Early Release specimens that were received by the NGC within the first 30 days following release by the United States Mint.

The obverse of 2020-W 1 oz V75 Privy Proof Gold American Eagles features the image of Lady Liberty. This historic design was developed in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens and used on the Gold $20 Double Eagle from 1907 to 1933. The coin design features Liberty in front-facing relief with a torch in her right hand and an olive branch in her left hand.

On the reverse side of 2020 V75 Privy Proof Gold American Eagles is a family of American bald eagles. The design showcases a male eagle in flight above the nest as a female eagle guards a hatchling within the nest. Miley Busiek created the image of the bald eagles in 1986 for exclusive use in this series.

The V75 privy featured on the obverse of these coins is in the shape of the Rainbow Pool, the reflecting pool at the center of the National World War II Memorial in Washington D.C. Within the privy mark is an inscription of “V75.”
