The Proof Silver Eagle and Proof Gold Eagle issued in the 75th-anniversary release of bullion coins come with a V75 privy mark on the obverse field. This privy mark was carefully developed with important symbolism to mark the occasion. First of all, the privy mark has a “V75” inscription at the center that stands for victory remembered 75 years later.
As for the other aspect of the privy mark, its overall shape is a nod to the reflecting pool at the heart of the National World War II Memorial in Washington D.C. This pool is affectionately referred to as the Rainbow Pool because of the full rainbow effect created when all 124 of its spray nozzles are turned on at the same time.
The obverse side of 2020-W 1 oz V75 Privy Proof Gold American Eagles features Lady Liberty. This design was first created in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens and used on the Gold $20 Double Eagle Coin until 1933.
On the reverse field of the 2020-W V75 Privy Proof Gold Eagle is a depiction of a family of American bald eagles in and around the family nest. This image comes from Miley Busiek and was created exclusively for this series in 1986.
These 2020-W 1 oz V75 Privy Proof Gold American Eagles are in near-perfect condition with PF69 grades from the PCGS. Coins in this condition showcase full, original mint luster and come with a maximum of two minor detracting flaws. Examples of acceptable flaws at this level include only minuscule contact marks or hairlines.
The DCAM designation indicates that the coins have strong, frosted designs and deeply-mirrored, clear fields. First Strike coins are those that were received within 30 days of the initial release date at the US Mint.
