The Lunar Series III collection features six main gold bullion options that include four fractional-ounce coins of 1/20, 1/10, 1/4, and 1/2 oz gold. The other main options are 1 oz gold and 2 oz gold coins. The series features seven silver options in all, with the primary options being 1/2 oz, 1 oz, 2 oz, 5 oz, 10 oz, and 1 Kilo silver. There is also a very limited issue of 10 Kilo silver. The series now features, as of 2020, a 1 oz platinum coin.

On the obverse side of 2021 1/10 oz Gold Australian Lunar Ox Coins is a depiction of Queen Elizabeth II. This right-profile bust of the Queen is the sixth to feature on Australian coins and was initially developed in 2015 by Jody Clark for the Royal Mint of England. The design shows the Queen wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown at the age of 89.

The reverse face of the 2021 Gold Australian Lunar Ox Coin bears an image of an ox. The male ox is a powerful beast and is used as a draft animal in agricultural societies. Plowing fields and towing any other equipment asked, the ox is dependable and persistent. The ox is shown in the midst of a field of bamboo stalks.
