Gold American Eagles are available in 2021 with two different design combinations present on the coins. The initial releases of 2021 came with the original combination of Lady Liberty and a family of American bald eagles. The latter, designed by Miley Busiek, has been replaced on the coins with the release of the Type 2 variant in 2021. Right now, near-perfect 2021 1/2 oz Gold American Eagle Type 2 Coins are available to you for purchase online at Silver.com.

Each 2021 1/2 oz Gold American Eagle Type 2 Coin in this product listing is available to purchase in near-perfect condition. Coins in Mint State 69 condition exhibit full, original mint luster with a maximum of two minor detractions. Those detractions are limited in nature to minuscule contact marks or hairlines and are limited in range to the areas outside of the primary focal points of the coin. Early Release specimens are those received within 30 days of release from the United States Mint.

The new reverse design on the Gold American Eagle Type 2 coin comes from Jennie Norris. This is Ms. Norris’ first major contribution to the United States Mint. Her design was chosen from more than 30 possible options to serve as the new reverse of the Gold American Eagle.

On the obverse 2021 Gold American Eagle Type 2 Coins is a depiction of Lady Liberty. This front-facing effigy shows Liberty walking away from the U.S. Capitol Building with a torch in her right hand to guide the way and an olive branch of peace in her left.

The reverse of the 2021 1/2 oz Gold Eagle Type 2 Coin features a bald eagle. This new image of the American bald eagle captures the American national symbol in left-profile relief with its hooked beak and piercing gaze brilliantly captured in the design of the bald eagle.
