The Lunar Series III collection from the Perth Mint comes with gold, silver, and platinum options for investors and collectors. Like the collections that preceded the Lunar Series III program, the Perth Mint’s lunar-themed collections focus on the 12 animals of the Zodiac with distinctive designs for each release. Further, those designs change between silver and gold coins, with the new platinum coins sharing the gold coin design. Now, 2021 1/20 oz Gold Australian Lunar Ox Coins are available to you for purchase online at Silver.com.

The ox is one of the most trusted animals that mankind has ever worked with. Durable, dependable, and persistent, the ox was used by humans for thousands of years in agricultural societies. It is a beast known to be dependable and hardworking, and those who are born under the sign of the animal are said to share some of those same characteristics.

Introduced in 1996, the Perth Mint produces lunar-themed coins in silver and gold through most years. The Lunar Series I collection ran from 1996 to 2007 and the Lunar Series II collection ran from 2008 to 2019. In 2020, the Lunar Series III collection debuted with its own unique designs and a new option in the form of the 1 oz platinum coin. The smallest coin in the collection remains the 1/20 oz gold coin.

The obverse side of the 2021 1/20 oz Gold Australian Lunar Ox Coins includes a right-profile bust of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is shown at the age of 89 in this portrait with the George IV State Diadem Crown on her head.

On the reverse face of 2021 Gold Australian Lunar Ox Coins is a depiction of an adult ox. This bull ox showcases the powerful figure of the ox that made it so popular as a work animal on agricultural farms. The ox is shown with its frame in slight left-profile relief and its front right leg raised off the ground.

These 2021 1/20 oz Gold Australian Gold Lunar Ox Coins come with an individual acrylic capsule or a sealed roll of 20 coins. Each one of the coins is available to you in Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
