Thirty years ago, one of the most transformational video games of all time was introduced by Capcom. As the era of the arcade began to wane and the rise of in-home, personal consoles launched, Street Fighter II debuted. This video game revived interest in arcades and launched the craze of player-vs-player fighting games. Today, 2021 1 oz Colorized Silver Fiji Street Fighter II Ryu Coins are available to you online at Silver.com.

The release of Street Fighter II in 1991 revived interest in the franchise, and more importantly, in arcade gaming. The first game, Street Fighter, was released in 1987 and proved massively popular in both arcade settings, on personal devices like Nintendo’s GameBoy and in-home consoles like the Super Nintendo.

All of these 2021 1 oz Colorized Silver Fiji Street Fighter II Ryu Coins are available to purchase in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The coins in this release are available in individual protective capsules and come with limited colorization on the reverse field of the coin. This colorization is applied only to the figure of Ryu.

On the obverse side of 2021 Colorized Silver Fiji Street Fighter II Ryu Coins is an image of the coat of arms for Fiji. This national seal consists of a quartered shield that has symbols of Fijian life and culture in each quadrant. The shield is supported by native Fijians and features St. Andrew’s cross through the middle to create the four quadrants. There is a lion above that is clutching a cacao pod. The national motto is found on a banner beneath the national seal.

The reverse face of the 2021 1 oz Colorized Fiji Street Fighter II Ryu Coins features a depiction of Ryu. Arguably the most prominent character in the franchise, Ryu is an expert in hand-to-hand combat and is a black belt in karate. He is shown here with his sleeveless karate Gi, a white outfit that he pairs with a red bandana.
