The centennial of the last Silver Morgan Dollar strike from the United States Mint was 2021. This same year was the centennial of the first strike of the Silver Peace Dollar. These coins shared the limelight for a brief time in 1921 as the US Mint resumed silver dollar coining after a 17-year hiatus in the production of fresh silver dollars. Today, 2021 1 oz Proof Silver British Virgin Islands Morgan and Peace Dollar Black Pearl Coins are available to you online at Silver.com.

The Morgan and Peace Dollar coins were the last US silver dollars used in circulation in the United States. Both coins featured effigies of Liberty in left-profile relief on the obverse, with images of the American bald eagle on the reverse. The coins were 90% silver pieces with 10% copper balance. The Morgan Dollar was issued from 1879 to 1904 and again in 1921, while the Peace Dollar was issued from 1921 to 1928 and again in 1934-1935.

All of these 2021 1 oz Proof Silver BVI Morgan and Peace Dollar Black Pearl Coins are available to you for purchase with presentation boxes that house and protect the coins. Each one comes with a numbered Certificate of Authenticity from the mint. The coins are proof specimens with frosted designs and mirrored fields, with a beautiful black-pearl finish throughout the background of both coins.

On the obverse of 2021 Proof Silver British Virgin Islands Morgan and Peace Dollar Coins, you will find an effigy of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is shown here in right-profile relief wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown on her head.

The reverse side of each 2021 1 oz Proof Silver BVI Morgan and Peace Dollar Coin features two effigies of Lady Liberty. In the foreground, you will find George T. Morgan’s 1878 depiction of Lady Liberty. In the background, you will see the 1921 depiction of Liberty from Anthony de Francisci.
