Silver American Eagles from the United States Mint are famed for the use of the same design elements year in and year out. However, the 2021 release of the coins will be the first-ever in the series to feature two different design combinations. This is because the US Mint is releasing a new reverse design into the series by mid-2021. However, you can still own the original designs in 2021 if you buy the coins released early in the year. Right now, near-perfect 2021 1 oz Silver American Eagles are available to purchase online at Silver.com.

Each 2021 1 oz Silver American Eagle offered in this Silver.com listing comes in near-perfect condition. The PCGS assigns a Mint State 69 certification to coins that exhibit full, original mint luster with a maximum of two minor detracting flaws. Examples of acceptable flaws at this grade level include only minuscule contact marks or hairlines located outside the primary focal points of the coin. Included with your purchase is a First Strike label. Coins with this label were received for grading by the PCGS within 30 days of the original release date from the US Mint.

Silver American Eagles have the image of the heraldic eagle of the United States on the reverse. This is the original design of the series and it features here on the reverse of these particular coins as the last date mark in the series with the image. As part of the 35th anniversary of the collection, a new design will debut on the reverse by mid-2021.

The obverse side of 2021 Silver American Eagles features a bust of Walking Liberty. In this design, Liberty walks toward the sun on the horizon with her right hand reaching out toward the sun as her left hand carries the branches of oak and laurel symbolizing America’s military and civic prowess. The American flag is draped over her shoulders.

On the reverse field of 2021 1 oz Silver American Eagles, you will find the heraldic eagle of the United States. John Mercanti’s version of the national emblem comes with the US national shield on the bird’s chest, the arrows of war in one talon, the olive branch of peace in the other, and a triangular cluster of 13 stars above its head.
