The Dalmatian breed is named for a historic region of Croatia known as Dalmatia. The dogs are instantly recognizable with their white fur and black spots, the latter of which forms between 10 days of age and 18 months. This design from Nikola Vudrag incorporates a Dalmatian seated in right-profile relief with spots on its body that are actually formed by Croatia islands in the Adriatic Sea.
