The national seal has two Fijians supporting a shield that is topped by a Polynesian outrigger canoe. The shield itself is quartered and has a passant lion at the top. The quadrants include sugar cane stalks in the first, a coconut palm in the second, a dove with an olive branch in the third, and bananas in the fourth. This side of the comes with a unique serial number inscribed as XXXX/1000, with the number before the dash representing the unique number out of the total mintage, which is reflected on the right of the dash.
