The image of Aurora appeared in 1959 in the release of the 16th animated feature film from Walt Disney Productions in a film entitled Sleeping Beauty. Mary Costa was the original voice of Princess Aurora, the only child of King Stefan and Queen Leah who is cursed by Maleficent, who does so in search of revenge for not being invited to the infant’s christening.

All of the 2021 1 oz Silver Niue Chibi Princess Aurora Shaped Coins available here at Silver.com come with customized packaging. The coins are housed inside a custom-shaped case made for the shape of the coin. The coin and its case arrive in a Sleeping Beauty-themed shipper with an image of Princess Aurora, her fairy godmothers, and other woodland friends. The box comes printed with the Certificate of Authenticity from the New Zealand Mint and a serial number on the holographic sticker.

On the obverse side of 2021 Silver Niue Chibi Princess Aurora Shaped Coins is a depiction of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is shown here in right-profile relief with the Girls of Great Britain and Ireland Tiara on her head. The design is a fourth-generation depiction from the Royal Mint of England and was created in 1998 by Ian Rank-Broadley.

The reverse field of the 2021 1 oz Silver Chibi Princess Aurora Shaped Coins features an image of Aurora. The primary character in Sleeping Beauty, she wears an elegant pink dress with white trim and a golden tiara on her head. Like other works of Chibi caricature art, Aurora’s head is much larger than her body and short appendages.
