Samson has often been compared by modern scholars to other folk heroes with superhuman strength, such as Enkidu of the Sumerian culture and Heracles from Greek mythology. Samson was the last of the judges of the Ancient Israelites and his immense strength was said to flow from his hair. That strength is said to have allowed him to kill a lion with his bare hands and defeat an entire army of Philistines with the jawbone of a donkey.

When a woman named Delilah comes into the picture, Samson falls in love with her. However, she was sent by the Philistines to entice him and eventually betray him. While he slept, she cut his hair and robbed him of his strength. Captured by the Philistines, his eyes were gouged out and he was forced to churn a mill for the Philistines in Gaza.

The obverse side of 2021 2 oz Silver Death of Samson Biblical Series Coins features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. In this right-profile relief, Her Majesty is shown wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown on her head. This design was created in 1985 by Raphael Maklouf and featured on British coins through 1997.

On the reverse field of the 2021 Silver Death of Samson Biblical Series Coin is a depiction of Samson in the final moments of his life. Robbed of his superhuman strength and blind, Samson was dragged into the temple of Dagon by the Philistine leaders. Some 3,000 people gathered to see him mocked as the once-mighty Samson. However, while in prison his hair had regrown. Chained to the columns of the temple, Samson prayed to God for the return of his strength. God heard his prayers and granted him his former strength. Samson pushed mightily to collapse the columns, bringing down the entire temple on himself and the 3,000 Philistines.

These 2021 2 oz Silver Death of Samson Biblical Series Coins are available with Biblical-themed presentation boxes that include a Certificate of Authenticity from the mint. Each silver coin has a rimless blank, high-relief strike, and an antique polish. The individual serial number on the coin is laser-etched on the edge.

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
