There is a new silver coin for sale that joins rarified air in 2021 with the release of a rectangular legal tender silver coin. Previously, only a handful of coins from the Perth Mint have offered this type of format for legal tender silver bullion. Now, the British Overseas Territory of St. Helena has one of the few rectangular silver coins with the introduction of a new East India Company design. Today, 2021 250 Gram Silver St. Helena Rectangular East India Company Coins are available to you online at Silver.com.

Coin Highlights:

  • Available to ship to you inside plastic sleeves, boxes of 12 or Master Boxes of 48!
  • Brand-new Rectangular Legal Tender silver coins!
  • Consists of 250 Grams, or 8.037 Troy ounces, of .999 fine silver in BU condition.
  • The face value of 10 Pound is fully backed by St. Helena.
  • Obverse features Queen Elizabeth II.
  • Reverse depicts a sailing vessel from the East India Company.

St. Helena is a small, remote volcanic island in the tropical belt of the Atlantic Ocean. It belongs to the United Kingdom as part of the British Overseas Territory of St. Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha. Though the island has proven important for various reasons throughout human history, it is perhaps best known as the island on which Emperor Napoleon of France was exiled after his defeat at the hands of the British in Europe.

All of the 2021 250 Gram Silver St. Helena Rectangular East India Company Coins available to you for purchase in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The coins are housed individually inside of plastic sleeves. Multiples of 12 coins are housed inside of boxes with sleeves for each individual coin. Multiples of 48 coins are housed together in a Master Box that contains four boxes of 12 bars each.

Obverse design elements on the 2021 Silver St. Helena Rectangular East India Company Coins include a locket design element with a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II in right-profile relief. This design is based on the Raphael Maklouf portrait of the Queen from 1985. This design was the third-generation British portrait and was used on British coins from 1985 to 1997. The portrait includes a depiction of the Queen with the George IV State Diadem Crown.

Reverse features of the 2021 250 Gram Silver St. Helena Rectangular East India Company Coins include an image of a sailing vessel owned by the East India Company. The East India Company was established by Royal Charter by Queen Elizabeth I in 1600 and grew to become a force more powerful than the British Empire itself. In fact, by 1803, the East India Company had at its disposal a private army of nearly 260,000 soldiers, twice that of the British Army at the time.

We also never have access to your credit/debit card details, as they are securely communicated directly to the payment processor (Authorize.net) and never retained by Silver.com. For this reason, we also don't process credit/debit card orders over the phone, as it is the least secure way to process those transactions.

In addition, all VISA and MasterCard orders undergo an additional step of user authentication - the respective Verified by VISA or MasterCard SecureCode programs. Upon completing checkout with a VISA or MasterCard credit/debit card, you may be promoted for additional details to confirm your identity and protect our customers against credit card fraud.

Do you charge sales tax?

We are required to collect sales tax in certain states. You can review your states sales tax policy here: https://www.silver.com/taxes. You should always consult with a tax adviser for specific advice in your area.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
