Silver American Eagles are produced by the West Point Mint each year. As of 2001, the West Point Mint has been the primary center for production of the coins. Prior to this, the San Francisco Mint was the original home of production from 1986 to 1998, followed by the Philadelphia Mint in 1999 and 2000.

While the San Francisco Mint has been providing supplemental coining since 2011 when demand outpaces the capacity of the West Point Mint, the Philadelphia Mint had not issued BU Silver Eagles in more than two decades prior to returning to production in 2020. With demand on the rise and COVID-19 impacting staffing at the West Point Mint, the Philadelphia Mint stepped in to provide emergency coining. With the pandemic continuing into early 2021 and demand still high, the Philadelphia Mint has once again issued BU Silver Eagles.

The obverse of 2021 (P) Silver American Eagles features a depiction of Walking Liberty. This iconic image was created in 1916 and depicts Liberty in left-profile relief as she walks toward the sun on the horizon.

On the reverse side of 2021 (P) Silver Eagles is the heraldic eagle. In its final release, the brilliant heraldic eagle depicts a bald eagle with wings stretched supporting the US national shield. This is the last date mark in the series that will feature the heraldic eagle. A new design is coming to the reverse in mid-2021.

These 2021 (P) Silver American Eagle Monster Boxes hold a total of 500 silver coins. All coins are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, with the Monster Box boasting a total of 25 individual 20-coin tubes.
