On the obverse of 2021 Silver Peace Dollar Coins is a portrait of Lady Liberty. Designed in 1921, this image shows a left-profile relief of Liberty with a fresh crown of sun rays on her head. This design element replaced the Morgan Dollar design and reflected the nation’s stance on isolation and peace following World War I.
The reverse field of the 2021 Silver Peace Dollars comes with a new depiction of the American bald eagle. In this design, the American bald eagle is depicted at rest. The bird is resting on its perch with its wings folded at its side.
Silver Peace Dollars were the last silver dollars issued for circulation in the United States. The coins were issued in 1921 and produced annually through 1928, with two additional date marks in 1934 and 1935.
