Each 2021-W 1/10 oz Proof Gold American Eagle in this Silver.com listing comes with a perfect certification from the PCGS. Coins with a PR70 certification exhibit full, original mint luster and have no detracting flaws of any kind present on the designs or surface areas. The coins also have DCAM and First Strike designations present on the labels.

A DCAM label is exclusively used to identify proof coins with enhanced visual brilliance. This label stands for deep-cameo and refers to the contrast between the strong, frosted design element and the deeply-mirrored, clear background field. The coins also have a First Strike designation that indicates the PCGS received each specimen for certification within 30 days following its release from the US Mint.

The obverse side of 2021-W 1/10 oz Proof Gold American Eagles features the bust of Lady Liberty. This portrait of Liberty depicts her figure in front-facing relief. She is shown walking toward the viewer holding a guiding torch in her right hand and an olive branch of peace in her left. Behind her figure, rays of sunshine emerge from the horizon as a ring of 50 stars encircles the entire design element.

On the reverse field of the 2021-W Proof Gold American Eagle is the design from Miley Busiek. In use for the final time, this image depicts a male eagle in flight above the nest as it returns with a branch in its talons. Within the nest, a female eagle guards over a hatchling by extending its wing for cover.

By mid-2021, the US Mint will mark the 35th anniversary of the American Eagle Series with new reverse designs on its silver and gold coins. The existing Liberty designs will remain on the obverse, while new designs arrive on the reverse. 2021 will be the first year in the history of the series to feature two design versions.
