Since 1986, the Proof Silver Eagle coin from the United States Mint has been issued with the same design elements on the obverse and reverse each year. The closest the mint has come to altering the visuals of the coin prior to the 2021 release was in 2016 when edge-lettering was used for the first time. With the issue of Type 2 2021 Silver Eagles, the US Mint unveils its first-ever refresh of the design fields with a new bald eagle design on the reverse. Now, 2021 1 oz Proof Silver American Eagle Type 2s in perfect condition are available to you for purchase online at Silver.com.

The United States Mint has never altered the imagery on the obverse and reverse sides of its American Eagle coins. From the gold and silver coins to the platinum and palladium coins, the obverse images all offer a glimpse of Liberty that has remained the same over the decades. The same can be said of the reverse.

As a lone exception to this point, the US Mint did alter the reverse designs, at first, on the Proof Platinum Eagles. Since 2018, the obverse imagery on the Proof Platinum Eagle has changed with each date mark. However, never before has the US Mint changed the visuals on its Brilliant Uncirculated coins. That is, until 2021 and the 35th anniversary of the Gold and Silver Eagles.

The obverse of 2021 Proof Silver American Eagles features the image of Walking Liberty. Plucked from the history of American coinage, this design first appeared on the US half dollar from 1916 to 1947. Designed by Adolph A. Weinman, it has been enhanced with the Type 2 release to include his original “AW” signature mark.

On the reverse side of the 2021 1 oz Proof Silver Eagles is the new bald eagle design from Emily Damstra. The design comes with the image of a bald eagle in flight as it flexes its wings and reaches out with its talons to clutch a large oak branch.

These 2021 1 oz Proof Silver American Eagle Type 2s are available in perfect condition. PF70 coins showcase full, original mint luster with no detracting flaws. UCAM coins are proof specimens with strong, frosted designs and deeply-mirrored, clear fields. An Early Release coin is one that was received by the NGC within 30 days of its original release from the US Mint.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
