The gold coins of the Austrian Philharmonic Series offer investors a wide range of options. Among the original coins issued in the early years is the 1/10 oz gold coin. Though it was not available in 1989 when the series debuted, it was quickly introduced into the series in 1991 in just the third overall year of availability. Now, 2022 1/10 oz Gold Austrian Philharmonic Coins are available to you for purchase online at Silver.com.

Coin Highlights:

  • Coins ship to you inside individual flips or acrylic tubes of 20 coins!
  • 32nd date in the 1/10 oz Gold Austrian Philharmonic Series!
  • Consists of One-Tenth Troy ounce of .9999 fine gold in BU condition.
  • Issued a face value of 10 Euro by Austria.
  • The obverse depicts the pipe organ of the Musikverein.
  • On the reverse are nine musical instruments.

Gold Austrian Philharmonics are a product of the Austrian Mint, one of Europe’s oldest and most respected mints. The coins debuted in 1989 with 1 oz and 1/4 oz gold coins. When the Austrian Mint considered expansion within the series, the first coin added was the 1/10 oz gold coin in 1991.

There would be two subsequent waves of expansion in the series, though these came 20 years apart from one another. The 1/2 oz gold coin was added in 1994, just three years after these 1/10 oz gold coins were added in 1991. The last coin added was the 1/25 oz gold coin that debuted in 2014.

The obverse of the 2022 Gold Austrian Philharmonic features the image of the pipe organ in the Musikverein. The Musikverein is located in the Innere Stadt borough of Vienna, the national capital of Austria. The original pipe organ was installed in the building in 1872 and later replaced by the current pipe organ in 1907. Though it is more than a century old, the organ was recently refurbished in 2011.

On the reverse of 2022 1/10 oz Gold Philharmonics is a collection of nine musical instruments. In all these, eight instruments represent five different types of instruments. The foreground depicts a large cello in the center, with two violins on either side of the cello. The background field features a French horn, a bassoon, and a harp.

These 2022 1/10 oz Gold Austrian Philharmonics are available to you individually in protective flips and by multiples of 20 coins in acrylic tubes. All of the coins available here are in Brilliant Uncirculated condition.
