In 1982, the Mexican Mint introduced the Silver Libertad bullion coins. The series initially featured a single coin option with a 1 oz silver weight. Over the course of four decades in production, the Silver Libertad has expanded not only beyond its original 1 oz silver weight, but also beyond its singular BU version. Today, 2022 1/10 oz Silver Mexican Libertads are available to you online at Silver.com.

It is no stretch to call the Silver Mexican Libertad Series one of the most diverse silver bullion collections out there. The series features BU, Proof, Reverse Proof, and Antique coins. The BU and Proof collections feature the 5 oz, 2 oz, 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, 1/10 oz, and 1/20 oz weights, while the Reverse Proof and Antique coins are only available in 1, 2, and 5 oz weights.
All of these 2022 1/10 oz Silver Mexican Libertads are available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and come with protective plastic flips for delivery. The 1/10 oz silver coin is a popular choice in this series, though it recently set a near-record low in 2021 with just 3,900 silver coins sold. The record low came in 2007 when just 3,500 silver coins were sold.
On the obverse of 2022 Silver Mexican Libertads, you will find a depiction of the Mexican coat of arms. This design includes a Mexican golden eagle on a prickly pear cactus. The eagle is shown with its wings flexed in the air as it battles with a serpent using its beak and talons. The field includes an oak-and-laurel wreath below with the nation of issue inscribed above.
The reverse side of the 2022 1/10 oz Silver Libertad comes with an image of Winged Victory. This statue is set atop the Mexican Independence Victory Column in Mexico City. The statue was sculpted in 1910 to mark the centennial of the start of Mexico’s independence movement, while the column was built in 1921 to honor the centennial of the nation’s full independence.
