Armenian culture and heritage date back thousands of years in Western Asia. The first ancient kingdom formed by Armenian people was formed around 860 BC. This Kingdom of Armenia was formed in 321 BC and would become the first state in the world to adopt Christianity as its official state religion, an event that occurred in the 1st Century BC. The inclusion of Noah’s ark imagery on these Armenian coins is a fitting tribute to this rich history.

All of these 2022 1/2 oz Gold Armenian Noah’s Ark Coins come to you with a protective security capsule. Each coin is housed in its own security capsule with a Certificate of Authenticity card inside. This card authenticates the weight, metal content, and purity of each coin, as well as its unique serial number within the series. The cards are signed by both the Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Armenia and the Geiger Edelmetalle mint director.

On the obverse of 2022 Gold Armenian Noah’s Ark Coins is an image of the modern seal of the Republic of Armenia. This national coat of arms features a heraldic eagle and a heraldic lion supporting a quartered shield. The eagle and lion again appear in the varying quadrants of the shield, with a smaller shield at the center bearing the image of Noah’s ark resting atop Mount Ararat.

The reverse side of the 2022 1/2 oz Gold Noah’s Ark Coin comes with a depiction of Noah’s ark from Eduard Kurghinyan. This design features an ark floating along the floodwaters as a dove flies into the foreground clutching an olive branch in its beak. In the background, the sun begins to rise above Mount Ararat.
