The Gold American Eagles took off on a new adventure in 2021 with the introduction of a new design element on the reverse of the coins. The first-ever change to the design element came midway through the year, and now with 2022 coins ready for production, the world will see its first full-year release of the new design element. Today, 2022 1/4 oz Gold American Eagles are available to you online at Silver.com in perfect condition.

The new design featured on the reverse of the Gold Eagles was created in 2020 by Jennie Norris. It debuted on the coins in July 2021 and now takes over in 2022 as the permanent reverse design for the series.

All of the 2022 1/4 oz Gold American Eagles available here are perfect specimens with plastic slabs. Mint State 70 coins have full, original mint luster and come with no detractions of any kind. The First Day of Issue label is for coins received for certification within 24 hours of release from the mint.

On the obverse side of 2022 Gold American Eagles is the historic Liberty design from the Gold $20 Double Eagle. This design was created in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens and shows Liberty in front-facing relief as she marches confidently toward you holding a torch up in her right hand while clutching an olive branch in her left.

The reverse face of the 2022 1/4 oz Gold Eagle comes with the all-new design from Jennie Norris. This life-like capture of the bald eagle shows its head in left-profile relief with incredible levels of detail in its physical features and characteristics.
