The Gold Kangaroo Series from Perth Mint is one of the top gold bullion collections in the world. Available as of late 1986, the series has offered four weights from the very first year: 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz. To this day, the 1/4 oz gold coin remains a popular option in the series and has one of the highest mintage caps in the collection. Now, 2022 1/4 oz Gold Australian Kangaroos are available to you for purchase online from Silver.com.

Coin Highlights:

  • Coins ship to you in individual protective capsules!
  • 36th year of issue for the 1/4 oz Gold Australian Kangaroos!
  • Mintage limited to 150,000 coins only!
  • Consists of One-Quarter Troy ounce of .9999 fine gold in BU condition.
  • Issued a face value of $25 (AUD) by Australia.
  • The obverse features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II.
  • On the reverse face of the coin is a small family unit of kangaroos.
  • Designed by Neil Hollis.

In 2022, the Gold Australian Kangaroo is available in five weights in total. As with recent releases, the series has a new reverse design element featured on the 1 oz gold coin and the three fractional-ounce coins. This new design comes from artist Neil Hollis. The 1 Kilo gold coin comes with the classic Copper Penny design from Stuart Devlin.

The release of the coins in 2022 includes unlimited mintages for the 1 Kilo and 1 oz gold coins, meaning the coins will be continuously struck to meet demand through late 2022 when the 2023 design is available. The fractional-ounce gold coins will also be struck to meet demand, but if the mintage cap is met, production will halt. For the 1/4 oz gold coin, the cap is set at 150,000 gold coins.

The obverse of 2022 Gold Australian Kangaroos features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty is shown here at the age of 89 wearing the George IV State Diadem Crown. The design was created for the Royal Mint in 2015 by Jody Clark. This is the sixth-generation design for Australian coins.

On the reverse of the 2022 1/4 oz Gold Kangaroos is an image of a small family unit of kangaroos. The adult kangaroo and its young joey are shown hopping across the grassy plains of Australia with small hills in the distance.

These 2022 1/4 oz Gold Australian Kangaroos are available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition. The coins are packaged in protective capsules with no more than 150,000 coins possible in this release.
