The Proof Gold Chinese Panda is an annual release from the Chinese Mint. These 1 Kilogram coins are the largest in the series and are accompanied by weights of 150 Gram, 100 Gram, and 50 Gram coins. The BU Series offers much smaller weights of 30 Grams, 15 Grams, 8 Grams, 3 Grams, and 1 Gram.

The obverse side of 2022 Proof Gold Chinese Pandas comes with an image of the Hall of Prayer for Abundant Harvests. The collection has always featured this building on the obverse of the coins. The structure was built in the Temple of Heaven Complex between 1406 and 1420, and is an important Taoist religious site.

On the reverse face of 2022 1 Kilo Proof Gold Pandas is a depiction of the Giant Panda. This year’s design shows two pandas sliding down a hill. One panda is sliding downhill on its stomach, headfirst. The other slides down the hill on its back with all four paws in the air as it goes down feet first. There is a 40th-anniversary privy mark on the reverse of the coins that includes the digits 40 with a panda in the zero.
