If you regularly buy silver in the Lunar Series III program at Perth Mint, you are no doubt familiar with the options in this collection. Perth Mint offers a fresh design of one of the 12 animals of the Zodiac with each release in this series. Prior to the release of a platinum option, the silver and gold coins each had a distinct image of the representative animal for the year. Now that a platinum coin is available as of 2020, the gold and platinum coins share a design, while the silver coin has its own separate image of the same animal. Today, 2022 1 Kilo Silver Australian Lunar Tigers are available to you online from Silver.com.

With the release of the Lunar Series III program in 2020, Perth Mint embarked upon its third distinctive series of lunar-themed coin releases. The program brought with it the sixth-generation effigy of Queen Elizabeth II on the obverse, marking the first use of this effigy on Lunar Series coins at Perth. The Lunar Series III program also resulted in the expansion of the series to include a first-ever 1 oz platinum bullion coin. Despite these changes, many other factors stayed the same in the series, such as the variety of weights offered in the silver bullion collection.
All of these 2022 1 Kilo Silver Australian Lunar Tigers are available with individual acrylic capsules for delivery. The coins come in Brilliant Uncirculated condition are the second-largest coins behind only the limited-issue 10 Kilo coin.
On the obverse of 2022 Silver Australian Lunar Tigers is a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. Designed in 2015 by Jody Clark, this design first appeared on British coins starting in 2016 and came to Australian coins in 2018. The Lunar Series collection did not start using this right-profile effigy of Her Majesty until 2020 and the start of the Lunar Series III collection.
The reverse field of 2022 1 Kilo Silver Lunar Tigers comes with a depiction of two tigers in the jungle. Here, an adult tiger cautiously leads its playful cub through the jungle. This design comes from Jennifer McKenna and features on all silver weights and types in the series.
