The 1 oz gold coin surpasses the mintage of all other coins in the series and has in every year since the 1989 debut of the collection. Recent downward trends in demand reversed drastically in 2020 and continue to move upward in the 2020s. Today, 2022 1 oz Gold Austrian Philharmonics are available to you online at Silver.com.

Coin Highlights:

  • Available to ship to you in protective flips, plastic tubes of 20 coins, or mint-sealed boxes of 100 coins!
  • 34th release in the Gold Austrian Philharmonic Series!
  • Consists of One Troy ounce of .9999 fine gold in BU condition.
  • The face value of 100 Euro is fully backed by the Austrian government.
  • On the obverse is a view of the pipe organ inside the Musikverein.
  • The reverse side shows a cluster of musical instruments.

Introduced in 1989, the 1 oz Gold Philharmonic was available that first year alongside the 1/4 oz gold coin. The series would later expand three times. Two of those expansions of the series occurred early on with the introduction of a 1/10 oz gold coin in 1991 and a 1/2 oz gold coin in 1994. The final expansion occurred in 2014 when the 1/25 oz gold coin was introduced.

All of the 2022 1 oz Gold Austrian Philharmonics are available in Brilliant Uncirculated condition from the mint. Individual coins ship in protective flips, with multiples of 20 coins in a plastic tube. You can also get multiples of 100 shipped inside boxes, with a total of 10 separate tubes within the box.

On the obverse of 2022 Gold Austrian Philharmonics is the pipe organ from the Musikverein. The view of the pipe organ looks into the Golden Concert Hall within the building, the primary venue for performances by the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra. The orchestra was formed in 1842, but organized concert performances by an orchestral group were being held in the city of Vienna as early as the mid-1830s.

The reverse side of the 2022 1 oz Gold Philharmonic comes with an image of musical instruments. While the members of the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra use a wide range of musical instruments, this design captures some of the most common orchestral instruments. Included within the design are a cello, four violins, a harp, a bassoon, and a French horn.

Where does your spot price come from?

We use a live, up-to-the-second spot price feed supplied by Xignite.com, a worldwide leader in the data supply market.

Are your products actually in stock?

Yes. We are one of the few bullion dealers in the industry who only deems products "in stock" when we have them on-hand and ready to ship immediately. In the instance of a presale item, we denote that the product is on presale and the estimated shipping date. While we make the best efforts to hit presale dates, the dates are only estimates, given we cannot control mint production issues and/or carrier dealyes.

Why are multiple prices listed?

We offer a 4% discount to "cash" paying customers - with paper check, bank wire, and bitcoin payments being defined as cash. On many products, we are also able to offer volume discounts to customers purchasing large quantities of the same item. All volume pricing is laid out in the chart on the product's description page, as well as in the cart.

When do I lock in my price?

All prices are locked in at the time of purchase. Credit/debit card, PayPal, BitCoin, Ethereum, and Ripple orders are paid at the time of checkout, while paper check and bank wire orders require a credit/debit card on file to lock in your pricing while we await your payment. Please note, paper check and bank wire orders will NOT result in a charge to your card - we simple maintain the card on file while we await full payment by your selected payment method.

Do you ship internationally?

We currently only ship to addresses in the United States, including APOs.
